aino is a lamp made of glass. The luminaire body is partially colored white or engraved on the surface. The light breaks, reflects, diffuses and spreads over the surface in all directions in various intensities. The rotation symmetric shape of the lamp is a reflection of the manufacturing process and the movements in the technique of glass blowing. The formal shape of the luminaire allows quick and an intuitive tipping, rotating, turning and aligning of the luminous body and therefore a simple placement of the diffuse light in the room. The rotational geometry of the glass body and its irregular wall thickness puts the lamp in a state of swinging after free positioning. The cable frames and secures the movement of the lamp. The swinging and the play of light created by it has a calming effect and reminds of the characteristics of the glass during the production process. Mentored by: Prof. Gebert
